What has art got to do with it?

Everything. I cannot fathom making a photograph if my heart wasn't in it. If there wasn't an idea(l) to be put forth, an emotion to express, a feeling to encapsulate. I just finished a reliatively small shoot, about 40 images, some doubles, where I decided that I was tired of taking pictures standing up. The world would have to be viewed from a prone position. I set my camera to match my mood, desaturated and sharp, with a high contrast (of emotions.) Off we go, to come back with some pictures that are frankly less photos and more light paintings, at least if compared to most of my other work. Who says the subject has to be what's directly in front of (or above) you? I am going to try to make this my new mission, I am a visual explorer, out on a quest to reinvent myself and my vision every time I go out shooting. I refuse to stagnate, or get stuck having one style. I challenge everyone, (if anyone actually reads these things on here,) to do something outside of their comfort zone.
Be insane, different, don't be afraid to make mistakes, because truth be told, most of the beauty in art is accidental.

How far do I have to fall, for you to love me back? Or will I ever stop falling for you?

And my mind wanders
through the shadows and the light
taken to the shoreline
and lost in the waves
